The Arts Society Alresford, formerly Alresford DFAS, was founded in 1978 and has been a dynamic, welcoming society ever since. We meet in the afternoon of the fourth Tuesday of the month except in August and December. We do have a waiting list but prospective members can come as guests, a small charge is made, and we usually have an event for waiting list members during the year.

Members receive the THE ARTS SOCIETY REVIEW magazine, published quarterly and our annual newsletter.

Lectures are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month except August and December at 2.15 pm. Attendees usually gather from 2.00pm. Lectures usually finish by 3.15 when tea and biscuits are served. Exceptionally the AGM starts at before our October lecture. A limited number of guests and those on the waiting list are welcome to attend at a charge of £5 if space permits. A member can bring a guest on 2 occasions during the lecture programme year. Please contact the Membership Secretary to book a space.

We normally have two special interest days per year. We have tea or coffee on arrival at 10 am and provide a tasty lunch. The day is split into 3 sessions each lasting about an hour, There is ample opportunity to ask questions and study days are normally great fun as well as being informative.
