Welcome to the The Arts Society Alresford
The Arts Society Alresford (TASA), formally known as NADFAS, is one of 360 societies throughout the UK and Europe affiliated to The Arts Society.
The society meets at 2.15pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month in Itchen Abbas Village Hall. Our objective, through inspiring lectures, visits, study days and heritage projects, is to broaden our knowledge and enjoyment of the decorative and fine arts with like minded, friendly people.
Our lecturers are chosen for their knowledge, presentational skills and entertainment value. They speak on a wide variety of topics: architecture, artists and designers, china, glass, furniture, jewellery, music, painting and much much more, covering ancient history to modern times. After the lecture you can chat with members over a cup of tea and biscuit.
Our visits include country houses, exhibitions, gardens and places of interest.
Special Interest Days present an opportunity to hear about a subject in greater depth and include lunch.
There are opportunities for members to get involved in Young Arts groups, Church Recording, Trails of Discovery and other heritage projects.
